I went to Woodburn today for the fitting for the runway show that I'm in on Saturday. FINALLY! A Woodburn Co. Stores show that I'm not wearing "old woman" clothes. You know, the 2 piece, floral rayon blouse and skirt set that makes a size two look like a 20. Usually I show up for my fitting looking like what everyone else gets to wear on the runway. This time I get to look like everyone else. Yay, again!
The show is at 3pm this Saturday at the Woodburn Co. Stores in Woodburn, OR and it's FREE! The mall is also having a model search from 1pm to 3pm so come check out the auditions then stay for the show.

Last Night's Evolution
Yesterday's show really was an all day affair. Call was at 11:30am. Rehearsal ran until 4:00pm. Dinner break went until 5:00pm. Hair and makeup was staggered across the next two hours. The show started at 7:50pm and ended at 9:25pm. I was a little disappointed when I got there because two of my five outfits were pulled because they weren't ready. But, the three best outfits were still in. With the number of collections being shown I had a ton of time between my scenes. The closing scene was the most fun. The dresses were reminiscent of the late 60's/early 70's with bright mod colors and shapes. We were also given wigs to wear for the scene. I got a ton of compliments on my walks after the show, especially for the last scene.
The after party was held at the Jupiter Hotel with a dj, a video of the show and free drinks. I got even more compliments at the party. I finally got home about 1:00am. I'm a little tired but really happy about my performance.

Another Booking!
I got the email yesterday. I've got another booking!
Woodburn Company Stores has requested me for a show on June 28th. Woodburn had been one of my regular clients but a couple years ago they had stopped doing their shows. I'm so glad to be working with them again. They always have fun shows.
More details on this and my other bookings later.

Evolution Fitting Today!
I went to the Art Institute today for the fittings for the Evolution runway show. A couple of the designs they had for me didn't fit (I was too tall! Go figure!). I hung around for a while to so they could see if anything came up through the course of other fittings that would work for me. I left for a while and they called me back to try on a few more things. Now I've ended up with five designs to wear. They were really trying to get me into more outfits because they really liked my walk. That's great to hear. Also, not a single outfit looked like something that my mom would wear. YES! Finally, I get to model cute stuff.

Booked a Show!
I went to a go-see at the Art Institute before heading down to Keizer on Saturday. They always have a big fashion show at the end of the year for the graduating senior collections. This year is the 10th anniversary for Ai so it is going to be an even bigger production. The Evolution Show will be held at the Portland Art Museum on June 15th and will showcase over 27 collections. It's gonna be big! I got the call yesterday that I booked the show. This should be a really fun show.

Food For Fashion Show today
Today was the Food For Fashion Show at the Keizer Iris Festival. It was awesome. I modeled for three different designers. After the show one of the other designers that I didn't model for asked for my contact info and rates. Also, the owner of Five Star Productions came backstage to give me her contact info and wants me to get a hold of her. She produces multiple bridal and fashion shows in Salem and Eugene throughout the year and wants me to model for her. All in all a productive day.
